  Schwarzsee ice palace

Ice artist Karl Neuhaus whisks you away to a fairytale world of ice and light in a wooded grove just near the Schwarzsee. Walk through the ice palace  or climb on top – an adventure for both adults and children. Warm and cold refreshments and snacks are available for purchase on site. Open from Christmas until early March.

  Mountain lake in winter

The frozen Schwarzsee mountain lake is wonderful for ice skating. An ice rink is maintained and a number of ice hockey rinks are available, weather permitting. Discover the magnificent winter panorama on a walk or in a horse-drawn sled over the lake. Ice crossing at your own risk!

  Outdoor Gurnigelbad ice rink

A first on Gurnigel. Relaxed fun is easy to be had on the 20 x 50 m ice rink, complete with 4 curling or ice stock sheets, Book the curling/ice stock sheets (Monday through Saturday afternoon) or come for a weekend when the rink is reserved for open skating. Ice skates are available for rental. Use of the ice rink is free!

  Hike through the UNESCO Biosphere

Biosphere Entlebuch. A cable car trip brings you up toward Rossweid, from where you can hike through an untouched winter landscape to Kemmeriboden Bad. End your trek at Landgasthof Kemmeriboden Bad, home of the famous Kemmeriboden meringue dessert.

The hike takes appr. 2 hours 45 min.
Price includes a  large portion of meringue dessert at the Landgasthof Kemmeriboden Bad or a meringue gift box.
